We presently employ ten vets with a wealth of experience and specialist knowledge. 

Our veterinary support staff consists of qualified veterinary nurses, experienced nurses and a number of trainees. 

We also employ a number of receptionist and support staff

John Bailey BVSc MRCVS
Practice Principle

John qualified in 1975 at Liverpool.  Specialising in small animal work he has specific interest in cardiology, internal medicine and research in to kidney problems in cats and dogs..
John was elected to the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Council in May 2002.  This is for a four year term and will enable John to ensure that the small animal practitioner has a voice in the profession's governing body 

Heather Benbow  BVetMed MRCVS
Practice Principle

Heather qualified in 1978 in London.  Having always worked in small animal practices Heather's particular area of interest is oncology and general medicine.

Paul Nurse BVSc CertSAO MRCVS
Veterinary Assistant

Paul qualified in 1984 at Bristol.  Having joined the practice after qualifying Paul subsequently studied orthopaedics and gained a certificate in this specialised area. 
Other areas of interest include exotics and birds with Paul receiving a number of referrals from other vets in both of these specialities. .

Robert Woodward BvetMed MRCVS
Veterinary Assistant

.Robert qualified in 2001 from the University of London and having worked at his previous practice for over four years joined us in 2006. Robert has established himself as a valuable and popular member of our veterinary team with many of our long standing clients.

Laura Birkinshaw BA VetMB MRCVS

Laura qualified in 2004 at Cambridge and immediately joined us as part of our ever busier surgeries in Nottingham where she furthered her knowledge and practical experience of small animal medicine.  Now mainly based at our Heanor surgery, Laura is a popular vet with many of our clients

Sarah Cripps BVetMed MRCVS
Veterinary Assistant

Sarah qualified in 1997 at London and came to the practice in 2004.  Working three days a week at our Aspley Lane surgery Sarah has established herself as a popular vet with our clients.

Emily Wilson BVetMed  MRCVS
Veterinary Assistant

Emily qualified in 2007 at The Royal Veterinary College and joined the practice in August of that year.  Based at our Aspley surgery Emily is now a well established member of our veterinary team.

Yvette Renouf BVSc MRCVS
Veterinary Assistant

Yvette also qualified in 2007 at Liverpool and after gaining experience at two other practices joined Ambivet in May 2009. 
With an interest in exotics she brings additional experience to the practice in this growing area of treatment.

Aoiffe Magee  MVB MRCVS
Veterinary Assistant

Aoife qualified in 2008 in Dublin and joined the practice in September of that year as an additional vet at our Nottingham surgeries where she continues to expand her skills and knowledge in a busy environment.

Edward Gaughan MVB MRCVS
Veterinary Assistant

Our second vet from Dublin who also qualified in 2008.  Based at our Ripley surgery Edward is establishing himself as an important member of the surgery team .
